New publication by Caoimhe Ni Dhonnaill
Ni Dhonaill, C. (2024). Staying safe during the Covid-19 pandemic: religious organisations and the safeguarding of young people on the island of Ireland.
In this report, project member Caoimhe Ni Dhonnaill researches and discusses how the Catholic Church and other religious organisations addressed the topic of safeguarding children and youth during the Covid-19 pandemic. The discussion is lead against the backdrop of clerical sexual abuse, which has been a topic for quite a while, and was then extended to also adress online safety for children and youth more intensely.
